About Red Funnel

Red Funnel is the original Isle of Wight ferry company, founded in 1861. It runs two services from Southampton: the Red Eagle, Red Falcon and Red Osprey vehicle ferries to East Cowes (about 55 minutes), and the Red Jet hi-speed catamarans to West Cowes for foot passengers (about 28 minutes). The car ferry carries cars, motorhomes, coaches and cyclists, while the Red Jet links directly to Southampton's trains and city centre. Red Funnel sails day and night, making it popular with Cowes Week sailing crowds and island commuters alike. Fares vary by vehicle length and sailing time, with saver fares for advance and off-peak travel.
