About CheapFerries
Independent UK ferry comparison and travel information.
CheapFerries.co.uk helps UK travellers find cheap ferries from every major UK port — quickly, without dark patterns, and without artificial scarcity countdowns. We compare prices and schedules across every major UK ferry operator in a single search.
How we work
We are a comparison and information site. We do not sell ferry tickets directly. Our search is powered by Direct Ferries, our affiliate partner — they handle live pricing, availability and the booking checkout. When you click the search widget, you're handed off to the Direct Ferries booking engine with our co-branded header.
How we make money
We earn a commission from Direct Ferries when a booking is completed via our search. Our commission doesn't change the price you pay. Direct Ferries sets its own prices and may add a booking fee, which it shows before you pay; it can be worth checking the operator's own site too. We don't sell user data and we don't add anything to the prices you see.
Hotel, car-hire and flight links on our route and port pages open KAYAK, our other partner. We earn a fee when you click through to KAYAK; it does not change the price you pay, and we show no KAYAK prices on this site.
Our editorial team
The route, port and operator pages on CheapFerries are written and kept up to date by the CheapFerries editorial team at TheMediaFlow Ltd. We take facts such as crossing times, sailing frequencies and which operator runs a route from the operators' own websites and from Direct Ferries' route information, and where a page shows a "facts checked" date, that is when we last checked them. Where a page shows a “fares we have seen” table, each figure is a fare we saw on the date shown, from the source linked, for the passenger and vehicle mix stated — it is not a quote. We don't publish prices we can't source; for live fares, use the search.
Ferry services change: operators take over routes, timetables change with the seasons and some routes stop running. If you spot something out of date, email hello@cheapferries.co.uk and we'll correct it.

UK-international ferry routes (UK ↔ France, Ireland, Spain, Netherlands, Belgium, Channel Islands, Isle of Wight, Hebrides, Northern Isles) and the operators that run them: P&O Ferries, DFDS, Stena Line, Brittany Ferries, Irish Ferries, Condor Ferries, Wightlink, Red Funnel, Hovertravel and Caledonian MacBrayne.
