The Portsmouth to Jersey ferry
DFDS has run Jersey's ferry services since taking over from Condor Ferries in 2025, and Portsmouth to Jersey is its longer crossing to the island. The journey takes around nine hours, which makes it a slower but more relaxed way to reach St Helier than the shorter crossing from Poole. There are several sailings a week. Portsmouth is easy to reach from London and the south of England, which suits travellers coming from further east.
