Although called 'Liverpool', the ferry terminal sits across the Mersey on the Birkenhead side at Twelve Quays. Stena Line runs overnight services to Belfast (around eight hours) and Dublin (around eight hours) here — ideal if you want to travel with a cabin and arrive in Ireland or Northern Ireland refreshed in the morning. Easy access from the M53.
