The superferries Stena Hollandica and Stena Britannica sail twice a day — a daytime crossing of about six and a half hours and an overnight one of around eight hours with a cabin. Harwich International Port at Parkeston Quay has its own railway station with direct trains from London Liverpool Street, and the Hook of Holland is on the Rotterdam metro line, so the route works well for foot passengers as well as drivers. On the Dutch side you are quickly onto the motorways for Rotterdam, The Hague, Amsterdam and Germany. The ships offer cabins, restaurants, a cinema and shops, making either the day or night sailing a comfortable way to cross the North Sea.
